Keith Dudgeon - Club Patron

The position of patron was most unexpected but one that I am very honoured to Accept.

My first thought was Errold La Frantz, but Reevesie assured me that Errol had requested to step down due to health reasons. Errold La Frantz and Cec Anstey could not have realized all those years ago, when they first called a meeting of all the district clubs on the north side, how the association would develop in numbers, due to the enthusiastic committees that followed.

I must make special mention of Reevesie, Bruce Boland and Glyn Netto who have been involved in junior cricket for many years: their experience, passion and knowledge are so invaluable to a large association like Brisbane North.

I congratulate the committee on the introduction of the super six`s (a first in Australian junior cricket) which gives every child the opportunity to gain a love for the game at an early age. I have never seen so much enjoyment our young ones have received from this innovative concept.

I look forward to the day when all children around Australia, experience a real game of cricket at this same age.

In closing, I just want to say this association has given me so much satisfaction and great memories coaching our youth. Brisbane North certainly leads the way in junior cricket and I am very proud to be part of this process again.
