************************************************************************************************** 27/01/12 Unfortunately the decision has been made to CANCEL all BNJCA cricket tonight (Friday 27/1) & tomorrow (Sat 28/1). Even if it does not rain any more (and this is most unlikely), the grounds are in no state to safely play cricket at any level. Hopefully we will be able to play next week.

************************************************************************************************** 15/01/12 After the new draws were circulated, I was advised of concerns regarding the BYE games in U15/17. I have reviewed this and attached are new draws for U17, U15 and U14 (minor ground changes).

************************************************************************************************** 14/01/12 As indicated at the last Delegates meeting, Marist College are entering teams in the U13/14/15 age groups for the second half of the 2012 season. This has required a new draw to be compiled for these age groups. As part of these changes, some minor adjustments to oval use was also required in other age groups to enable appropriate sized ovals to be used. Consequently there are changes in many age groups. Also, over the holidays some schools have advised of unavailability of their ovals for various reasons.
Those draws affected are: U8 Lee U10 Border U11 Langer U12 U13 U14 U15 U17

************************************************************************************************** 31/10/11 The BNJCA Committee has brought in a Rule 3 (d) for Storm Safety:
The 30/30 RuleIf thunder follows a lightning flash by thirty (30) seconds or less play must ceaseand players and officials leave the field immediately. Play must not resume untilthirty (30) minutes after the initial lightning flash. If during the suspension of playthunder follows a lightning flash by thirty (30) seconds or less the suspensionperiod is to recommence.Note. See Standard AS/NZS 1768:2007 “Lightning Protection”.
A 30 second time difference indicates the flash was within a 10km radius, a 15 second time difference is within a 5km radius, and a 3 second difference indicates within a kilometre.

************************************************************************************************** 15/10/11 Under 14 Trials Venue Change: Due to the rain that has fallen at Marchant Park in the past 24hrs, it is now very unlikely the turf wickets will be playable.
For this reason, the venue for this week's trial (Sunday 16/10/11) will now be Ferny Reserve, Tramway St, Ferny Grove (same venue as Week 1). 8.30am arrival for a 9.00am start. Canteen at Ferny will operate from 10.45am. Please remind players that the wearing of BNJCA rep clothing to trials is not permitted.
